HEAT Courses & Travel Advice

With almost 30 years experience of working and travelling in challenging environments, we have designed our HEAT courses drawing on all the knowledge we have gained and the challenges we have faced during our careers.    The 2 day courses are conducted in the North of England, or in your country of operations with your local staff.

We have worked with many NGO's, journalists, construction companies and UHNWI donors who wish to travel to where their donations are being spent.  We have taken the time to sit down with them all and listened to their needs and experiences of being out in the field from their perspective and designed our courses accordingly.

Our HEAT course is a non-military based 2 day training course, for men and women, that equips those going out in to the field with all the skills they will need to work as safely as possible at their tasks whilst in country and alongside those who are in charge of their security locally.

Our HEAT Courses also include First-Aid and basic self-defence.

Our trainers are, in addition,  FREC First Aid Qualified and Mental Health First-Aiders.

We have both male and female trainers.

We offer short courses, run by both male and female trainers, on how to stay safe when travelling overseas.   The courses are bespoke and designed specifically for wherever you are travelling to.   

The  content of these courses include:

• Cultural sensitivities to be aware of
• What to do if you're caught up in an unforeseen event
• How to get up to date travel advice during an emergency event
• What to take - this includes not only clothes, but also what kit, vaccinations, medication etc.

An online training platform and app to work in conjunction with your HEAT Course and Travel Advice for when you are out in the field.
